I traveled across the vast space,
Searching for a place called home,
Where the land smelled like soil
And the blues were all water.
All of a sudden I could sense this planet
That radiated hope from light years away.
It was covered in its thick atmosphere,
Protecting it from everything that could take the hope away.
When I landed on the planet, I remembered
That I had been here before.
It feels like I have known everything here,
So strange that I left it to wander into the void.
Back then the mountains were short,
And the ice was all water,
When the air smelled like tears of pain
And the people were filled with despair.
But how much has it changed since then?
The mountains are taller than we can climb,
The water froze back into beautiful ice,
And tears showed love in celebration of life.
I call out to every lost astronaut out there:
This planet right here has it all.
For when tested by the hardships of time,
It will always be a place filled with hope.
I look at the voices from above
As we stand at the intersection of all intellect.
The horizon looks brighter than ever,
And Mum, I feel like I am back home again!
